Kokkola's LNG Terminal Opened

The LNG terminal in Kokkola was officially inaugurated on Monday, May 5. In the first phase, four production facilities in the large-scale industrial area will be connected to the natural gas network.

The approximately €8.5 million investment strengthens regional energy security, enables lower-emission energy alternatives, and supports industrial growth.

Flexens’ Kokkola Project Manager, Jim Häggblom, attended the inauguration event alongside other regional stakeholders.

“The LNG terminal is part of the largest investment programme in our history. We are building a diverse and sustainable energy portfolio for the future,” said Kirsi Hautala, CEO of Kokkola Energy.
